Are your car passengers fully covered against accident and injuries while riding your car? In most instances, the answer is no. The OAC Car Occupants Accidental Insurance covers you and your passengers against injuries when your car gets involved in an accident at a very reasonable cost.

SCOPE OF COVERAGE

The OAC Car Occupants Accident Insurance covers injuries resulting from an accident sustained by the passenger while driving or riding in the specified vehicle provided it is not being used in a race, speed or endurance of any kind.

In the event that actual number of passengers at the time of accident is within the specified maximum amount of passenger covered, each injured passenger will receive maximum benefit.

However, if the number of passengers exceeds the specified maximum seating capacity of the vehicle, benefits will be paid on a pro-rata proportion among all injured passengers.

BENEFITS

Accidental Death and Disablement

In case of death or disablement due to and within 2 months from the date of the accident, your beneficiary/ies will receive the full sum insured.

Permanent Total Disability

Injuries that result in permanent total disability due to and within 2 months from the date of the accident can title each injured party up to 100% of the sum insured.

Murder and Assault

In case of unprovoked murder and/or assault while riding in your specified vehicle, your beneficiary/ies receive full sum insured.

Accidental Medical Expense Reimbursement

You will receive up to 10% of the sum insured to pay for the actual expenses incurred on treatment of bodily injuries for each passenger.

Burial Benefit

This portion will pay for burial expenses in the event of accidental death of any passenger covered under the plan, 5% of sum insured will be given.

EXCLUSIONS

Illness, war or act of war, services in the armed forces, suicide. Pre-existing condition, mental or nervous conditions, drugs or alcohol abuse and related accidents, involvement in or attempting to commit a criminal act.
